Some of the First Move team
Rachel joined First Move after having an established career with Lloyds Bank, culminating in Group Risk at the company head office. She has however never looked back on her move into direct marketing and her devotion to direct mail is absolute.
Rachel has brought her professionalism to bear in a number of key areas in account management, operations of the company and takes on this new role as from January 2018 having been Deputy Managing Director for 3 years. As well as working with clients such as Arsenal FC and Lavazza, outside of work her time is devoted to her partner and 2 young children.
Direct Mail Futurist and Chairman
David has worked in the direct mail and print industries for over three decades. Over the last 25
years, David has built First Move to be a premier supplier of direct mail services, a Xerox Premier
Partner including installing a ‘Worlds 1st Trivor inkjet printing system.
David has passed the reins of direct company management to Rachel and is devoting his energies to the future of direct mail. The improved use of data through artificial intelligence and the development of programmatic and relevancy based direct mail print production.
Citing the valuable benefits of the DIRECT MAIL 101 programme, David’s vision is to create a service that delivers better results and streamlines costs to transform businesses through direct mail.
Having dedicated her career to direct mail for the past 35 years, after a number of years in Client Services Elaine has moved her considerable knowledge to the area of Operations. She is responsible for overall scheduling and production and quality control, ensuring we meet our clients exacting standards and deadlines. Elaine also continues to head up the Wine Society account.
During Elaine’s time in the industry she has worked on projects for a variety of high-profile clients, including Volvo, Hertz UK, Leyland Daf, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts and Harper Collins.
Client Services Manager
Aran joined First Move at the beginning of 2016 and heads up the Client Services team. As well as being part of the Senior Management team he also manages some of First Moves most esteemed accounts.
Aran is now into his 30th year within the industry, during that time he has held various senior roles at some of the largest pioneering digital print companies. Aran is rightly proud of his possibly unique achievement of winning the coveted, Printweek “Digital Print Company of the year” whilst at three different companies.
Martin has over 20 years’ experience in direct marketing and digital print and 30 years’ experience in IT systems, business analysis and data management, making for a wealth of knowledge at First Move.
Starting in global financial and insurance systems, and international market research, Martin works to the highest levels of data accuracy and integrity on customer databases and complex data analysis and reporting.
He works with and for early adopters of new technology to deliver innovative customer communications via print, web and email, and has expert knowledge in data processing and data utilisation, database design and workflow.
Digital Print Manager
David joined First Move in 2016 to head up the Digital Print area. Responsible for his team and 10 digital printers, continuous and sheet fed, including an iGen 5 and Xerox Trivor 2400, quality and flexible production cycles are key in keeping clients projects running seamlessly.
David has worked with some of the world’s leading companies in lithographic and digital print on both the client facing and production sides which enables him to always have a clear view of the end product.
Sally’s ten-year tenure at First Move represents only a third of her extensive direct marketing industry experience. Initially working as an account executive in database management, she understands direct marketing in its most complex form and how to apply it to the greater needs of her clients.
Sally’s contacts within the exhibition industry have flourished with the likes of Fresh Montgomery, Informa, UBM Information, Brand Events and still after over 20 years, Reed Exhibitions. Sally’s bright and lively personality is enjoyed by her clients and out of work is focused on her son, his numerous sports and the family love of travel.
Senior Account Manager
Ben joined First Move in 2015 after a successful career in financial services. For 13 years Ben has been at the front line of customer service working in the utilities, leisure and technology sectors. His extensive knowledge in these sectors and direct mail acumen, enable him to service the most demanding of clients with ease.
He works closely with his clients on each campaign, including advising on creative and copywriting, to ensure each mailing reaches its maximum potential. He thrives on helping his clients grow.
Senior Account Manager
Richard has over 25 years’ knowledge in direct mail, commercial/financial print and POS that includes end-to-end management of customer relationships and campaigns. His proven attention to detail, decisive decision making and determination to always achieve the best result for customers’ have led to long-standing successful relationships.
A recently gained qualification, DMI Certified Digital Marketing Professional Diploma, shows ongoing development and aptitude for utilising old and new world media to effectively deliver cross-channel campaigns for optimal outcome.
Stephanie joined First Move as a Customer Service Advisor and quickly progressed with her passion and enthusiasm to learn. She enjoys working closely with her clients and takes a very hands on approach to ensure quality is of the highest standards.
Her reassuring manner and honest approach have proved invaluable within the fast-changing world of direct marketing. She is unfazed by the more specialist and complicated campaigns that she has run and managed.
Business Development Manager
Andrew joins the First Move team with a multitude of skills and attributes gained from his career in the Police force. Attention to detail, timeliness and professionalism to name but a few.
His enthusiasm and passion for the world of Direct Marketing is contagious, a sure Direct Mail Futurist in the making.
