Managing Director

David is 56 years old and has been in the Direct Marketing industry for 25 years and has been an Account Manager, Print Buyer and Production Manager. David joined the marketing services industry after he left the Group Management Services department of The Forte Group where he was involved in systems implementation and project evaluation. He set up in business on his own behalf 15 years ago. He is also MD of Henley Marketing Services, which was purchased 7 years ago through his holding company Paradigm Holdings Ltd.

Away from work David is lost and spends his time between gardening, family and the Isle of Wight before returning to work every Monday.

Client Services Manager

Elaine has worked in the industry for over 20 years. She is a self-motivated individual with broad-ranging experience encompassing all elements of direct marketing.

Her responsibilities have included the establishment and implementation of major accounts utilising a wide range of techniques.

Outside work Elaine plays badmington for a local club and mixed doubles in the Wycombe league in division 3. She tries to do ten miles a day on the exercise bike. She has three children, one aged 12 and twins of five. In what spare time she has left she enjoys socialising at the local nightclub, participating in quiz nights at the children's schools, and enjoying aqua aerobics.

Account Manager

After completing a degree in Politics and American Studies, Mike spent 2 years studying music in the United States. When the visa and the money ran out he returned home to the wild and wacky world of Direct Marketing.

Over the years he has covered a number of different disciplines including telemarketing, media response handling, exhibition & event management, promotional sourcing, design & print as well as mailing & fulfilment.

Mike lives in Reading with his wife, 6 guitars and a bouzouki and can occasionally be found playing bass in a local jazz band.

Account Manager

After completing his BA Honours degree in Business and Marketing and running out of ideas of what to study next, he embarked on the long road to Direct Mail.
He started life as a Production Co-ordinator for Hallmark Cards UK, and then joined Carlson Marketing Group as an Account Executive where he gained valuable experience both client and agency side.

Outside of work Salvatore is keen kick-boxer and enjoys road running and is a football fanatic.

Computer Services Manager

Taking his knowledge from 10 years in the Direct Marketing Industry, Chris is highly experienced in the formats and the solutions to clients needs of database marketing. Give him a database with data of any size in any format and if it is there he will find it, using his extensive knowledge in Foxpro queries and command line programming he can ensure your database will become your most valuable tool.

In his spare time Chris is a keen pool player in the local league - he even captained his recent team to the top of their division to become champions! Not all that special you might think, but try doing that after 10 pints every Monday and knowing you have to do it all again in the morning!

Data Analyst

Neil joined First Move in October of 2005 having worked previously for 3 Direct Mail/Marketing companies. Starting his career in the industry 7 years ago, Neil started off as a printer operator and soon moved his way into the data department. He has gained extensive knowledge in all areas of print and data handling from the bottom up, which has greatly helped him in his role as the IS Manager.

Web Application Developer

Paul joined First Move in early 2006 and has been developing various web solutions for direct marketing as well as managing our website. Two systems designed by Paul—Orderflow and Productflow—are used on a daily basis by First Move’s clients as well as its staff making our lives easier and greatly improving our performance.

Outside of work Paul is keen on keeping up with new web programming technologies and spends fortune on web-programming-related literature. He also enjoys photography—whenever he manages to walk away from a computer.

IT Systems Designer

Ian has over 30 years commercial IT experience. Most recently his time has been spent developing Microsoft Access systems and supporting our web site. He has implemented a number of fulfilment systems including all aspects of order processing, stock control, credit card processing, invoicing and reporting. Before joining us Ian worked for many years in developing and implementing manufacturing and financial systems. He specialises in RAD (Rapid Application Development) where the emphasis is on developing tailor-made solutions within short time scales.

Production Manager

Janet has been with First Move at High Wycombe from the very start! That's a total of 10 years! Therefore we must be doing something right! Janets primary role is to oversee all clients work passing down the production line to ensure the highest quality control, and also to schedule work to meet extremely tight deadlines.

In her spare time she enjoys dog walking as she is a keen dog lover, enabling her to clear her head over the weekend ready to do it all again on Monday morning!

Deputy Production Manager

Leanne has been with First Move for over six years now, starting off life in production as a supervisor, and then using the knowledge gained from this experience transferred to the print room. This involved important use of equipment such as the folding machine, the fulfilment machines and also franking machine.

She then progressed to Print Supervisor and is a whiz when all 4 of our high speed lasers are running simultaneously - continuously working hard to meet very demanding deadlines.

Away from work Leanne is a keen swimmer and enjoys the odd game of netball - of course, all this comes after clubbing in the local nightclubs!
