What is mailsort?
Mailsort is based upon organising mailings into specific destinations, so that when it leaves us it is in bags pre-sorted to the nearest delivery Post Office. You need a minimum of 4,000 small letters or 1,000 large letters to qualify.
Using the postcode, your data will be sorted before printing and assembly starts. We will then maintain the sortation so that the mail can be packed into labeled bags for direct delivery to the nearest post office. At least 90% of the postcodes must be accurate for this to be done.
Mailsort 2 supplies 2 day delivery times and Mailsort 3 larger savings through allowing delivery within 7 working days.
Savings of up to 25% can be made on postage costs. The size of discount depends on the type of mail being sent and how quickly it needs to be delivered
Is Walksort suitable for your mailing?
Taking the sortation concept further, walksort can offer savings of over 35% if you have large volumes of mail for smaller, concentrated areas.
The data is sorted into the right order for the delivery staff to take out on their rounds. This saves even more time and therefore you gain larger discounts.

Royal Mail downstream access competitors
Even larger savings can be achieved and we will make recommendations to you in this area.
You now have further choice of service. Citipost, DHL and TNT Post (plus others) are now effective competitors to the Royal Mail for 2nd class and mailsorted deliveries.
These competitors use their exisiting transport to take your mail from us and deliver to the local offices of the Royal Mail to ‘deliver the last mile’. This competition is similar to that which has already taken place succesfully in the telephone market.
Are you mailing overseas?
If you are sending quantities of mail overseas, it can be more cost effective to consolidate and send it via an overseas postal service. Many foreign postal providers such as the Dutch, Swiss and German Post Offices have facilities in the UK. We use only major European Post Offices so that we can be 100% sure that your service levels will not be compromised.
