Direct Mail Marketing Accreditations
First Move is a member of the two key professional
bodies which govern the direct mail marketing industry.
The
DMA and its members are committed to promoting the self-regulation
of direct mail marketing. It is a condition of membership
that member mailing houses are required to adhere to
the DMA Code of Practice and the On Line Codes of Practice.
The Codes of Practice set standards of ethical conduct and best practice and are administered and monitored by the independent Direct Marketing Authority.
The DMA's principle aim is to maintain and enhance business and consumers' trust and confidence in the direct marketing industry.
Our membership is your assurance of professionalism and discretion as well as implementation of the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
QMP is the new quality mark awarded to qualifying mailing houses which supply enclosing and despatch services for direct mail. The award has been designed to help the buyers of direct mail services source proven, high quality suppliers.
This accreditation scheme has been developed by the Royal Mail and the DMA with assistance from the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers in response to an industry-wide programme of research and consultation. The aim of the QMP scheme is to ensure the promotion and maintenance of high standards in direct mail production services.
The Royal Mail has funded the development of the QMP accreditation scheme and will continue to provide funding to ensure that the scheme is continually developed and promoted to meet the needs of the industry.
To meet the rigorous requirements of accreditation, member agencies must have employees who have passed QMP examinations, with refresher exams being set regularly.
Member's clients are also surveyed annually and our clients have awarded us marks which exceed the industry's national benchmark results in every category from efficiency of service to value for money.
