Meet the team
So who are some of the people who switch on the lights every morning and ensure we live up to the promises made to you?
Due to pressure constraints, we are all finding less and less time during our working day to spend on niceties. We realise this and bring this page to you with a little information about our client servicing team. Each of us are committed to delivering the best campaigns on time, on budget, every time.
In the future, we hope that we will meet you face-to-face, but in the meantime we hope this will provide a little background.

David Amor
Managing Director
David is 58 years old and has been in the direct marketing industry for over 25 years. David joined the marketing services industry after he left the Group Management Services department of The Forte Group where he was involved in systems implementation and project evaluation. He set up in business on his own behalf over 15 years ago.
Away from work David is lost and spends his time between gardening, family and the Isle of Wight before returning to work every Monday.

Elaine Hipgrave
General Manager-Mailing
Elaine has worked in the industry for over 20 years. She is a self-motivated individual with broad-ranging experience encompassing all elements of direct marketing.
Her responsibilities have included the establishment and implementation of major accounts utilising a wide range of techniques.
Outside work Elaine plays badmington for a local club and mixed doubles in the Wycombe league in division 3. She tries to do ten miles a day on the exercise bike. She has three children, one teenager and twins. In what spare time she has left she enjoys socialising, participating in quiz nights at the children’s schools, and enjoying aqua aerobics.

Rachel Smith
General Manager-Fulfilment
Rachel joined us after starting her career with Lloyds TSB during which time she worked as Front of House Manager in a large branch before spending time in the City.
Rachel is responsible for call centre activities, data entry and the management of pick, pack and despatch of clients stock. At home she is both dedicated to her husband and their 2 dogs Honey and Buster who follow her almost everywhere.

Sally Maharg
Account Director
Sally has worked in the DM industry for 19 years and previously worked on Accounts including Vauxhall and Alfred Marks. Today Sally looks after a number of clients and spends a lot of her time working with the exhibition industry.
At home Sally spends most of her time running around her son and his football tournaments and has recently taken up skiing which is a surprise both to her and everyone that knows her.

Mike Harper
Senior Account Manager
After completing a degree in Politics and American Studies, Mike spent 2 years studying music in the United States. When the visa and the money ran out he returned home to the wild and wacky world of direct marketing.
Over the years he has covered a number of different disciplines including telemarketing, media response handling, exhibition & event management, promotional sourcing, design & print as well as mailing & fulfilment.
Mike lives in Oxfordshire with his wife, 6 guitars and a bouzouki and can occasionally be found playing bass in a local jazz band.

Salvatore Severino
Sales Manager
After completing his BA Honours degree in Business and Marketing and running out of ideas of what to study next, he embarked on the long road to Direct Mail.
He started life as a Production Co-ordinator for Hallmark Cards UK, and then joined Carlson Marketing Group as an Account Executive where he gained valuable experience both client and agency side.
Outside of work Salvatore is keen kick-boxer, enjoys road running, is a football fanatic and dots upon his baby daughter and of course his wife.

John Lloyd
Business Development
John has recently joined us from RAM in North London.
He brings with him a huge experience of direct mail along with an obsession connected with Plymouth Argyll FC where he is Newsletter Editor of the London Branch plus frequent appearances on local tv and radio.

Neil Newman
Data Manager
Neil joined First Move in 2005 having worked previously for 3 direct mail/marketing companies. Starting his career in the industry over 10 years ago, Neil started off as a printer operator and soon moved his way into the data department. He has gained extensive knowledge in all areas of print and data handling from the bottom up, which has greatly helped him in his role.

Janet Hipgrave
Production Manager
Janet has been with First Move at High Wycombe from the very start! That’s a total of 14 years! Therefore we must be doing something right! Janet’s primary role is to oversee all clients work passing down the production line to ensure the highest quality control, and also to schedule work to meet tight deadlines.
In her spare time she enjoys dog walking as she is a keen dog lover, enabling her to clear her head over the weekend ready to do it all again on Monday morning!

Leanne Vaux
Deputy Production Manager
Leanne has been with First Move for over 9 years, starting off life in production before being promoted to a supervisor, and then transferred to the print room. This involved important use of equipment such as the folding and inserting machines.
She then progressed to Print Supervisor where she was a wiz when all of our high speed lasers are running and finally to Deputy Production Manager.
Away from work Leanne is a keen swimmer and enjoys the odd game of netball.
